Christina Hall Made This Telling Name Change Amid Her Divorce From Josh Hall
Since HGTV star Christina Hall‘s split from her ex-husband Josh Hall in July a few months back, Christina has made it clear that they did not end on good terms. From accusing her ex of stealing from her and criticizing his request for spousal support, she’s not been shy at showing just how strained their relationship has become.
So, of course, it might not come as a surprise that Christina is already professionally going back to her maiden name, Haack. According to People, the name change was first noticed in the announcement of the season 2 premiere of her spinoff series, Christina in the Country. The show, which will see “her deliver more dream homes in the Nashville area and make memories with her kids on their family farm,” will begin airing on Nov. 12.

In other words, while Josh and Christina’s divorce settlement has yet to be finalized, Christina’s already moving on from their relationship, including his name.
As for their actual divorce proceedings, it seems their battle is long from over. Earlier this week, Christina’s attorney Matthew S. DeArmey criticized Josh’s request for $65,000 a month in spousal support.
“The court is familiar with offers labeled as ‘Good Faith’ settlement offers which are not in fact made in good faith,” DeArmey told Us Weekly. “The claim by [Josh] that he sent a ‘Good [F]aith’ settlement offer is not a fair characterization in my opinion.”
“Josh Hall is requesting $65,000 per month in spousal support from [Christina] on a 2-year, 9-month marriage, which is outrageous when he is self-supporting,” he continued. As a reminder, Josh currently works as a realtor and is a former police officer.
Shortly after, a spokesperson for Josh denied the request, claiming his ex’s team was “riddled with provably false statements.” “Josh never requested $65,000 in support,” the statement read. “That’s false.”
With tensions so heightened, we’re sure these two might not reach a settlement anytime soon. At least Christina (Haack) is trying to move on!
