Christina Hall Reportedly Couldn’t Overcome This Major Hurdle in Her Marriage With Josh Hall
When Christina Hall filed for divorce from her husband, Josh Hall, fans of the couple were taken aback. After all, the couple looked to be going strong online but they were actively working on their new HGTV show, The Flip Off. But, as dust begins to settle on their split, sources are revealing the cause for their unexpected divorce.
According to new reports from Us Weekly, there was one major hurdle in Christina and Josh’s marriage they just couldn’t get over. “Christina works very hard and is successful,” the source said of the former Flip or Flop star. “She felt like Josh was not contributing enough to the household.”

With over a decade of experience flipping houses in TV home renovation shows, it’s safe to say Christina had quite a career for Josh to live up to. Josh, on the other hand, was once a police officer and became an accomplished realtor who, through his marriage with Christina, expanded his career into TV production.
“She’s the monied spouse, she was more successful,” the source detailed. “We know that because he’s seeking alimony and equal division of property and assets from the media program they have together.”
Per the insider, this topic will surely come up in court given their lack of a prenup agreement. “Her side will likely argue that people are tuning in for her, [and that] it’s not 50/50, maybe 80/20, so she will have claim over more of that revenue,” the source said.
As Aliette H. Carolan, Esq., seasoned family law attorney and founder of The Quick Divorce, told SheKnows, the couple’s lack of prenup will indeed most likely work in Josh’s favor. “In California, which follows community property laws, absent a prenup, marital assets are generally divided equally,” Carolan offers as her opinion. “This could possibly include rights to shows they created or participated in during the marriage.”
Also in the reports, insiders suggested that there’s no chance of reconciling for the pair, who had been married since 2022. “Christina was trying, but things happened, and it just wasn’t working,” the source said. “Christina was done when she filed the papers. It’s hard, but she’s doing great.”
Indeed, it seems like the main reason for their split isn’t something they could meet halfway on. Now they’ll have to settle it all in court.
