Christina Ricci Reveals How Her Daughter Cleopatra's Feelings on Halloween Are Totally Opposite Hers
Halloween is nearly here, and Christina Ricci’s daughter Cleopatra, also known as Cleo, has some big feelings about the holiday (and they’re the total opposite of Ricci’s).
While you may think the Princess of Darkness, Ricci, would be a Halloween fanatic, that’s not the case; it’s actually her daughter who loves Halloween.

In a rare interview with PEOPLE about her new Cat Full of Spiders tarot card deck, she said, “I’m not a huge fan of Halloween, but my youngest daughter, who’s only 2 years and 8 months, she happens to be just like preternaturally obsessed with all things Halloween.”
“So she’s going to have her first Halloween where she goes out dressed up,” the proud mom added. “It should be pretty fun. She’s very excited about it.”
The first trick-or-treating is so exciting, and while Ricci may not be a big Halloween fan (which is so shocking), we know she’ll be the proudest spooky mom with her two kids.
For those who don’t know, the Penelope star and Mark Hampton eloped back in 2021, soon welcoming their “little penguin” daughter Cleo, born in Dec 2021. Ricci shares another son with her ex-husband James Heerdegen named Freddie, born in Aug 2014.
In a previous interview with SheKnows, she told us how her son Freddie really wanted the family to dress up as zombies for Halloween 2022. “We are in the middle of deciding on our Halloween costumes for the entire family, dogs included,” she said. “There’s a lot of debate, a lot of great ideas. Freddie really wants everyone to be zombies. Like we’re all just a zombie family.”
