Christmas at the Opry 2023: Who's performing? How to watch Nashville NBC special
It's the most wonderful time of year in Nashville and The Grand Ole Opry, country music's biggest stage, is celebrating with a musical Christmas special. NBC's "Christmas at the Opry," hosted by Wynonna Judd, will be spreading holiday cheer starting on Dec. 7.
Host Wynonna Judd, known for songs "Mary, Did You Know?," "Burnin' Love" and "No One Else on Earth," is one of the most awarded female country musicians in history—and it's her first time hosting an Opry special.
At the Opry's red carpet, Judd told The Tennessean, "I've done television my whole career, but having a party like this, I feel very responsible for not only spreading the joy, but the love and the peace just because of the hell I've been through this past year...
"[It] has just been mind-blowing at times," Judd said, referring to the death of her mother Naomi Judd in 2022. "I'm just in the moment. I'm looking forward to singing the songs that I love." Along with all the holiday music and cheer, Judd is looking forward to spending time with family, walking in the woods, studying the Bible and healing this holiday season.
Other performers and familiar faces at the Opry's special include Lauren Alaina, Chris Janson and Brenda Lee.
