'Chucky' Adds 'Real Housewives' Star Sutton Stracke & More To Party With Jennifer Tilly
Season 2 of "Chucky" is going full steam ahead with new potential victims for everyone's favorite killer doll with the inclusion of new guest stars — including Sutton Stracke of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
Ahead of its return to SYFY and USA Network this fall, the hit horror series announced a slew of five special guest stars, including "The Matrix" alum Joe Pantoliano and Stracke. The latter also happens to be best friends with Jennifer Tilly, who was previously confirmed to be reprising fan-favorite character, Tiffany Valentine. Tony Nappo ("Land of the Dead"), Gina Gershon ("New Amsterdam"), and Jennifer's real-world sister, Meg Tilly ("Bomb Girls") round out the crop of guest stars who will be attending a party alongside Tilly's Tiffany, who's posing in-world as Jennifer Tilly (it all makes perfect sense, we promise!).
News of their casting arrives just one day after Lara Jean Chorostecki ("Reacher") boarded the project in a major recurring role.
Check out the next victims...er... we mean party-goers below:
"Chucky"'s main ensemble boasts the acting chops of Zackary Arthur (Jake Wheeler), Bj?rgvin Arnarson (Devon Evans), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Lexy Cross), Alex Vincent (Andy Barclay), Christine Elise (Kyle), Barbara Alyn Woods (Mayor Michelle Cross), Jennifer Tilly (Tiffany Valentine), Fiona Dourif (Nica), and Devon Sawa. Brad Dourif, of course, is back to voice Charles Lee Ray.
Don Mancini — the mastermind of the entire Chucky universe — conceived of the small-screen adaptation and serves as showrunner. "One of the nice things about having a franchise — I suppose it could be a downside, too — is that I've spent an unholy amount of time in my life thinking about Chucky. So I just think about it all the time," he told SYFY last fall. Mancini is also an executive producer alongside Nick Antosca ("Antlers"), Alex Hedlund ("Chilling Adventures of Sabrina"), David Kirschner ("Hocus Pocus 2"), and Jeff Renfroe ("Chapelwaite"). The series is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Currently in active production, Season 2 of "Chucky" slashes onto USA Network and SYFY this fall. The complete first season — which garnered 11.6 million viewers across all platforms and currently holds a 91 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes — is currently available to stream on Peacock.
"TV Guide" recently included the series on its list of "The 100 Best Shows on TV Right Now," writing: "This TV continuation of the horror movie franchise is a sterling example of how to refresh a long-running property for a new format. The smart series from franchise creator Don Mancini stays true to the killer doll movies' dark humor and gory slapstick violence. It also seamlessly integrates queer themes, reclaiming the "queer-coded villain" trope and turning it on its head in a clever and contemporary way."
