Claudia Schiffer to Be Represented by IMG Models
Claudia Schiffer, the 54-year-old German supermodel, has signed with IMG Models. She had been represented by Creative Artists Agency.
“Excited to be joining the IMG Models family,” Schiffer said. “I’ve been really impressed by their passion, professionalism and long-term thinking. So I can’t wait to start this new chapter and work on more amazing projects and campaigns.”

IMG plans to build upon Schiffer’s body of work, focusing on global fashion, beauty and lifestyle opportunities. This month Schiffer is featured on Vogue Arabia’s September cover sporting a tuxedo, which she models in several different styles throughout the issue, as a nod to the images of Schiffer at the fall 1996 Yves Saint Laurent runway show wearing Le Smoking.
Schiffer, who made a name for herself in the ’90s, was the star of the iconic Guess campaign shot by Ellen von Unwerth. She was also a face of Chanel, acting as Karl Lagerfeld’s muse. She has walked the runways for such brands as Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, Chloé, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Fendi, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton and Oscar de la Renta.
By the age of 21, Schiffer was the world’s highest-paid model, fronting major multimillion-dollar global campaigns.
Last spring, Schiffer was named the face of Versace’s ad campaign. Versace and Schiffer go way back, as the brand helped cement her supermodel stardom in the ’90s. The relationship never fizzled, and Schiffer closed the Versace spring 2024 show last September.
Describing Schiffer as “legendary,” Donatella Versace tapped the German model to front the brand’s spring 2024 ad campaign, together with Loli Bahia, Mona Tougaard, Fernando Lindez, Noah Tumataroa, Meng Yuqi and Liu Wen. “The power of these incredible women dressed in iconic house silhouettes and fabrics,” Versace said. “Loli, Mona and our legendary Claudia…this is everything I love in fashion. Of course.…It’s Versace!”
Last fall, the first Claudia Schiffer Barbie was made available for purchase. The doll is wearing a pleated teal gown from Versace’s fall 1994 couture show.
Schiffer holds the Guinness World Record for being the first model to appear on more than 1,000 magazine covers. Her face has appeared on the covers of such magazines as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Time and Vanity Fair. In 2019, Schiffer also curated a Rizzoli book, “Claudia Schiffer,” which highlights her favorite fashion moments, captured by such photographers as von Unwerth, Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort, Steven Klein, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Francesco Scavullo, Mario Testino, among others.
