Clint Eastwood, 94, Mourns Death of Partner Christina Sandera, 61
Clint Eastwood's longtime partner, Christina Sandera, has died at the age of 61.
The 94-year-old actor announced his girlfriend's passing via statement to The Hollywood Reporter, where he mourned the loss of his loved one, calling her "lovely."
"Christina was a lovely, caring woman," the Gran Torino star gushed on Thursday, July 18. “I will miss her very much.”
Further information or details about the woman's death will not be released, per intel from a Warner Bros. spokesperson shared with the outlet.
Though Sandera had remained largely out of the spotlight as their relationship was mostly kept private, the pair reportedly met when she was working as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, and began dating in 2014.
Sandera, did, however, accompany the Hollywood mainstay at a few different red carpet events. She stood by his side at the 2015 Academy Awards when American Sniper was up for six Oscars, including the highly-coveted Best Picture award, as well as premieres for some of his other films, including Sully (2016), The Mule (2018), The 15:17 to Paris (2018) and Richard Jewell (2019).
Not much else is known of the woman, and it has been communicated that the actor/director plans to mourn privately.
Prior to his most recent relationship, the Dirty Harry actor had been married twice. He tied the knot with model Maggie Johnson in 1953, before splitting in 1964 and officially divorcing two decades later. The Mule star then found love again with TV news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 until their 2014 divorce.
As for his lengthy career—which has now spanned over 50 years—he's still working after all this time, with his 40th movie as a director, Juror No. 2, currently said to be in the postproduction phase.
He also tends to keep somewhat of a low profile, making rare public appearances here and there.
