Clint Eastwood’s family album guide: Meet his 8 kids
Clint Eastwood has many Oscars — but more children.
The Hollywood icon, renowned for directing and starring in films like “Million Dollar Baby” (2004) and “Unforgiven” (1992), proudly embraces his most cherished role as a father to his eight children.
Eastwood’s large family includes six daughters — Laurie, Kimber, Alison, Kathryn, Francesca and Morgan — and two sons — Kyle and Scott.
When reflecting on his journey as a father, Eastwood, 94, detailed his evolution into the role to the Toronto Star in 2008, admitting he spent his younger years “working all over the world,” but was a “much better father” while raising his youngest daughter, Morgan.
“My daughter takes precedence over everything,” Eastwood said. “I go to all the softball games and look ridiculous out there because almost everybody’s got a much younger father than me. But it’s fun. I think you appreciate a lot more when you get to my age.”
As his children take on adulthood, the actor continues to be a presence in their lives, relishing in the joys of grandparenthood and supporting them in their endeavors.
Here’s everything to know about Clint Eastwood’s family.
Laurie Murray
Eastwood’s eldest child was born in 1954 and put up for adoption quickly afterward, which the actor was allegedly unaware of until much later, according to the Daily Mail.
Despite this early separation, Murray, 69, approached Eastwood years later and the two reconnected. She joined her father and all of her siblings for the premiere of his movie “The Mule” in 2018.
Kimber Lynn Eastwood
As the daughter of Eastwood and late actress Roxanne Tunis (“Blue City”), Kimber grew up in the entertainment industry.
Her existence remained undisclosed until a 1989 Enquirer article revealed her parentage.
Kimber, 60, briefly pursued acting and appeared in movies like “Passion Crimes” (2001) and “Crossed” (2006). She later pursued more behind-the-scenes roles and found success as a makeup artist, working on many shows as the lead makeup artist, including “Wheel of Fortune” and “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” as well as on her father’s film “The Mule.”
In her personal life Kimber has been married three times and has one son, Clinton. She married her current husband, producer Shawn Midkiff, in 2014.
Kyle Eastwood
Kyle, 56, is the son of Eastwood and his first wife, Maggie Johnson.
He initially followed in his father’s footsteps and tried out acting. He studied film at the University of Southern California and appeared in a few of his father’s films before pivoting to music.
Kyle has carved out a career working as a jazz bassist and film score composer, which he’s revealed his father supports.
“I think he appreciates my music,” he told the Belfast Telegraph in 2014. “We’ve written a few things together, and anytime we’re in the same part of the world, he tries to come by and catch the band when he can. He’s happy that I’ve found music and that I’ve dedicated myself to it.”
He has composed music for many movies — including nine of Clint’s films like “Gran Torino” (2008), “Mystic River” (2003) and “Million Dollar Baby” (2004).
Kyle has been married twice. He married Laura Gomez in 1995 and the pair welcomed a daughter, Graylen Spencer, before divorcing. In September 2014, he married Cynthia Ramirez.
Alison Eastwood
Eastwood and Johnson’s second child, Alison, also works in showbiz. She began her career as a child actress before landing a lead role in “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” (1997), alongside Kevin Spacey, Jude Law and John Cusack.
Alison, 52, made her directorial debut in 2007 with the film “Rails and Ties” starring Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden. Eastwood supported his daughter in her success and often used his experience to mentor Alison.
“It was wonderful,” Alison told People at the time. “He’s not a man of many words. He doesn’t get chatty. Instead of telling me anything, he let me be a fly on the wall and watch him at a different level. It was his way of being helpful, by showing me how he worked.”
After her time in Hollywood, Alison married sculptor Stacy Poitras. She also shifted her focus to her other passions — a now-discontinued clothing line called Eastwood Ranch Apparel and a nonprofit animal welfare organization she founded called the Eastwood Ranch Foundation.
She made one exception to her exit from Hollywood by playing her father’s daughter in the 2018 movie “The Mule.”
After the film, Alison returned to her other projects.
Scott Eastwood
Scott was born in 1989 to Eastwood and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves. He grew up immersed in the film industry, learning the ropes from his father.
He snagged a role in his dad’s film, “Gran Torino,” before gaining prominence on his own, acting in a variety of box office hits, including “The Longest Ride” (2015), “The Fate of the Furious” (2017), “Pacific Rim” (2013), and “Suicide Squad” (2016).
Scott, 38, established himself as an actor despite initial skepticism because of who his dad is.
“I came [to Hollywood] to try and do something, and nobody took me seriously,” he told Men’s Health in 2017. “Everyone brushed me off, like, ‘You’re Clint Eastwood’s son, you’re not a real f – – king actor.’ Some people are still like that. I never thought I would last in this business, but it finally seems to be working out.”
Scott has had high-profile relationships with several famous women, including “One Tree Hill” alum Jana Kramer, Nina Dobrev, and model Brittany Brousseau. He admitted he struggled with dating after tragically losing girlfriend Jewel Brangman in a 2014 car accident.
Kathryn Eastwood
Kathryn, born in 1988, is the second child of Reeves and Eastwood. She made her mark early when she was named Miss Golden Globe in 2005.
Following her father’s footsteps, she entered acting, playing Tommy’s girlfriend in “Jersey Boys” (2014), which he also directed. More recently, she has been focused on writing and has found success with the zombie anthology “Virus of the Dead.”
Francesca Eastwood
Francesca is the only child of Eastwood and British actress Frances Fisher.
She has also made her mark in the entertainment industry, starring in E!’s reality show “Mrs. Eastwood & Company,” which followed her family life with stepmom Dina and younger sister Morgan. She was also named Miss Golden Globe in 2013.
Francesca, 30, played a small part in her father’s “Jersey Boys,” also appearing in episodes of “Fargo” and “Twin Peaks.” She was also in the 2021 M. Night Shyamalan film “Old.”
In her personal life, the actress tied the knot with Jonah Hill’s late brother and Maroon 5 manager Jordan Feldstein in 2013, but the marriage was annulled just a week later. She welcomed a son, Titan, in 2018.
Morgan Eastwood
The youngest of Eastwood’s children, Morgan, was born in 1996 to his ex-wife Dina Eastwood.
She has also embraced the spotlight, starring on E!’s “Mrs. Eastwood & Company” with her mom and sister Francesca in 2012.
Morgan, 27, has since showcased her versatility both in front of and behind the camera. She acted in “Million Dollar Baby” (2004) and “Changeling” (2008), executive produced and appeared in a short film called “I See You” (2019) and performed a song for the soundtrack of “Johnny Mercer: The Dream’s on Me” (2009).
She announced her pregnancy in May and married Tanner Koopmans in June. More than 130 people attended the couple’s big day — including Eastwood and all seven of the bride’s siblings.
“I initially wanted to elope, but my husband wanted a bigger celebration,” she told People. “I feel like our wedding was the perfect in-between because it was as intimate as it could be (with a huge family like mine) but still lively.”
