CM Punk doesn’t think AJ Lee will return to WWE TV.

Punk was a guest on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani on Monday. He was asked by Helwani if his wife, AJ Lee (AJ Mendez), will ever return to TV as a pro wrestler.

“Probably not,” Punk said as he laughed.

“Is that her [statement/mindset]? I’m sure there’s an open door, right?” Helwani replied.

“I think there is [an open door], yeah. Selfishly, I would love it,” CM Punk said. “But I’m her biggest fan, so I love everything she does.”

Helwani then pointed out how fans would love that, and called attention to how Punk has shouted her out in some of his promos.

“I think I talk about her a lot,” Punk said.

“So, going back to the ‘clues’ [a remark from earlier in the interview about Punk dropping Easter eggs or hints in promos, and whether they’re intentional or not, and Punk saying he knows the line to cross or not], people think you’re foreshadowing something,” Helwani added.

“Maybe I am, I don’t know. Again, there’s that line, and I know how to do things,” Punk concluded.

CM Punk then referenced his infamous Pipe Bomb promo and noted how the people he mentioned in that speech ended up on TV. He jokingly referred to himself as the “giver of all things” to conclude his statement.
