Cody Johnson, Dustin Lynch among artists added to the Dean Dillon tribute lineup
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Four more popular country artists have been added to the already star-studded lineup for ‘Songs and Stories of Dean Dillon.’
CMA nominee Cody Johnson and chart-toppers Drew Baldridge, Dustin Lynch and Michael Ray will join the lineup of the upcoming Dean Dillion tribute show, an announcement said on Tuesday.

“I can’t believe so many of my friends are coming to be part of this night,” says Dean Dillon. “This is something that you only dream about happening, but this time the dream has come true.”

The VBC Propst Arena will host ‘Songs and Stories of Dean Dillon’ on Wednesday, October 9. The tribute show will showcase many of country music’s biggest stars to honor the legendary singer/songwriter.
The show will be filmed for a television special to broadcast at a later date. Tickets for the event will be available to the general public on Thursday, September 18 at 10 a.m. at the VBC Box Office or online at Ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices start at $79.

Dillon is a three-time Grammy nominee with 26 number-one singles with his own songwriting credit. He was named the 1985 Billboard County Artist of the Year.
In 1986, Dillon was awarded the Nashville Songwriters Award. The County Music Association (CMA) honored Dillon with the CMA Triple Play Award in 1995, 1996 and 1998 for penning three number-one songs in 12 months. In 2002, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame along with Bob Dylan and Shel Silverstein.
Dillon has composed or co-written 55 songs for George Strait including 19 singles, 11 of which went to the number-one spot.
