After Monday night's Home Run Derby, the bar is on the floor for National Anthem renditions.

Cody Johnson was in the lucky position to follow Ingrid Andress' National Anthem performance at the MLB All-Star game on Tuesday, July 16. Chatter erupted on social media once again, but this time fans praised Cody for his simple and respectful rendition.

The Texas native took the field at the Rangers' Globe Life Park in a white cowboy hat, jeans, and a white blazer, removing his hat before beginning the song.

Cody's also opted to go a cappella, but his performance went off without a hitch. Fans reacted to CoJo's rendition on X, writing: "THAT'S how you sing our National Anthem!!!! With respect!!!!" and "MY EARS HAVE HEALED!"

"Not that the bar was set very high, but Cody Johnson absolutely CRUSHED the National Anthem ??????," Rangers Nation chimed in.

Prior to his performance, Cody took a few swings in the batting cage with the Astros, a welcome contrast to Ingrid's pre-game activities. Ingrid Andress' Monday night performance went viral across social media before she later admitted she was under the influence during her performance.

The country singer responded with a public apology and reportedly checked herself into a rehab facility the same day.

Country music fans knew Cody Johnson wouldn't disappoint, but the events from the day prior made his performance feel all the more impactful.

One X user summed up the sentiment perfectly: "I know this is just the national anthem and we hear it all the time but after this week in the US and the complete butchered national anthem at the home run derby this gave me chills. @codyjohnson never misses!," they posted. Now, that's enough "Star Spangled Banner" news for one week!
