Coffee crawl to feature 'Alice in Wonderland' theme

Sep. 28—Residents are invited to head down the rabbit hole for a themed coffee crawl in Downtown St. Joseph next weekend.

The Alice in Wonderland Coffee Crawl runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. The event, which coincides with Downtown First Saturday events, promotes and raises money for the Dance Arts Performing Company's ballet production of "Alice in Wonderland."

Sixteen Downtown businesses are participating and each will have specialty coffees or teas based on the classic story. Some spots will have treats and activities, and cast members including Alice, the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Door Mouse and Cheshire Cat will be available for photographs.

Wristbands for the coffee crawl are $15 per person and can purchased in advance from any cast member, at The Dance Arts Center, 1902 Jules, and online at Eventbrite.com. They also will be available on the day of the event at the Art Attack Studio, 218 S. Eighth St.

"Alice in Wonderland" will be performed at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Missouri Theater. Additional information can be found at TheDanceArtsCenter.com or by calling 816-233-5442.
