Colton Underwood disappears into the night after 'Bachelor' contestant's dad talks her into leaving
On The Bachelor Monday night, Colton Underwood finally had enough. After Cassie Randolph unexpectedly sent herself packing — on the night she and Colton were supposed to stay in the Fantasy Suite no less — fans were finally treated to the moment that’s been teased all season: Colton jumping the gate.

After Cassie left, Colton was heard in his room saying, “F**k all of this. I’m done. I’m done with all of this.” Colton then left his room, pushed a camera out of the way on the stairs, then headed for the gate. He didn’t have a way to open the automated gate, but what he did have was the right mixture of heartbreak and athletic prowess to throw himself over in one smooth motion, ignoring Chris Harrison and others who were yelling after him. Harrison’s first reaction seemed to be one of amazement that Colton made it over so effortlessly. But once Harrison and the crew got outside the gate, Colton was nowhere to be found.
Fans were ecstatic that the fence-jumping moment delivered on the hype.

As for Colton and his reaction, it’s safe to say Cassie’s lack of reciprocal feelings and her departure came as a shock.
“Cass is the one. Outside all of this, I can definitely see us working forever,” Colton said before the date. “I feel like my whole life has been leading to tonight, because I love Cassie. I want to be with Cassie.”
What Colton didn’t know was that Cassie’s dad flew to Portugal and spent the afternoon talking his daughter out of accepting a possible proposal. Cassie’s dad is also the only father on the show who refused to give Colton his blessing to propose to his daughter when they went to hometowns.
Cassie’s dad said he sensed her hesitation when she and Colton were at his home, then went on to say, “There shouldn’t be any hesitation in your mind when you meet somebody that you want to spend the rest of your life with. None. It’s a life-long decision. It’s not something you make if you’re unsure.”
It should be noted that although show producers couldn’t find Colton at first, he does resurface in the preview for next week’s episode.
