Comedian Max Amini's world tour to stop in Columbus

Named by Jerry Seinfeld as one of the top comedians to watch, Max Amini is on a world tour that will swing through Columbus for an evening at the Davidson Theatre on Nov. 17.

Tickets, which start at $45.77, can be purchased at the CBUSArts ticket center at the Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St., by phone at 614-469-0939 or online at cbusarts.com. There is a four-ticket limit per person/household.

The age requirement for the performances is 13 and older. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

An observational storyteller whose act includes improv and physical comedy, Amini began doing stand-up at LA's Improv while still in college at UCLA in the early 2000s. His popular sets earned him a spot as a resident comic at the world-famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood in 2006.

The son of Iranian parents who immigrated after the 1979 revolution, Amini developed the successful 2010 "Exotic Imports" comedy tour featuring second-generation Americans from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Subsequent tours have taken Amini around the world to Canada, the U.K., Australia, Germany, Sweden and many other locations.

The 42-year-old Arizona native has 4 million followers on Instagram and 1.3 million on TikTok, as well as more than 50 film and TV credits. He also hosts a podcast, "Wild Truth with Max Amini," which can be heard on all major streaming services.
