Congratulations Are In Order: Sarah Hyland And Wells Adams Are Finally Married!
“Love Island USA” host Sarah Hyland has made it official with the love of her life, Bachelor Nation favorite Wells Adams.
Hyland, 31, and Adams, 38, got married over the weekend surrounded by family and close friends in an outdoor ceremony at Sunstone Winery near Santa Barbara, California, according to PEOPLE. Although the couple themselves haven’t shared news of their big day, her “Modern Family” co-star Sofia Vergara took to Instagram to share photos of her with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nolan Gould, and others in attendance at the event with the caption, “#sarahandwells wedding.”
TODAY reports Ferguson’s husband, Justin Mikita, and “Modern Family” star Julie Bowen were in attendance as well.
The wedding is a long time coming following Adams’ proposal to the “Love Island USA” host in 2019. At that time, they’d been together for about two years after first connecting on social media in 2017. They originally planned to get married just one year after the engagement in August 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic waylaid those plans.
In fact, Wells previously told PEOPLE they were getting pretty impatient to be husband and wife and were even considering doing a Las Vegas or courthouse ceremony if anything else prevented them from going through with the wedding. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case and it seems they both got the lavish ceremony befitting of reality TV royalty they always wanted.
“Wells and I had been talking for a couple of months and then on our first date, I said in my head, ‘I’m gonna marry this man,” Hyland previously told “TODAY” hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.
The couple is well known to reality TV fans. He first appeared on the 12th season of “The Bachelorette” where he tried to win JoJo Fletcher’s affection. While that didn’t go his way, he appeared again on the third season of “Bachelor In Paradise.” He didn’t find love with anyone there either, but he became a regular fixture: He returned for seasons 4, 5, and 6 to replace longtime resident hotel bartender Jorge Moreno.
This year, Hyland followed in her now-husband’s footsteps by joining the team at “Love Island” as its new host, replacing former host Arielle Vandenberg.
