Controversial 'Bachelor' contestant's past comes back to haunt her again
On The Bachelor Monday, Peter Weber joined the final four women in their hometowns to meet their families. Well, almost all four. During Peter's final stop in Victoria Fuller's hometown of Virginia Beach, things didn't quite go as planned. And it all started with an old friend.
Following his day date with Victoria, Peter ran into a woman, named Marissa, whom he dated back in 2012. "Can I say some advice? Just be careful," Marissa warned Peter. "That's all I'm going to say. I'm from here and I just know, like, what a good guy you are, and I would hate for, like, any of who you are to be affected by someone else." Marissa continued, "I know that you're a great guy, and I don't think that you deserve what you're on a date with right now." Turns out, Marissa happens to also know Victoria and, according to Marissa, they are no longer friends. "Again, I know who you are is a good person, and I don't think that you deserve that. There's been many relationships broken up because of her and I don't think it's a good relationship for you to be in."
So far this season, Victoria's past just keeps coming back to haunt her, from unexpectedly going on a date with Peter to her ex-boyfriend's concert, to her White Lives Matter modeling campaign. Peter, who was visibly distraught, later confronted Victoria outside her parents' house as she found herself in yet another uncomfortable situation.
After explaining his encounter to Victoria, she began to get a little defensive and, ultimately, decided she had had enough as she told the camera crew, "I can't do this." Victoria then stormed off and walked away crying as she stated, "I'm so done. I hate this. Every time. It's like I can't catch a break."
Eventually, Victoria returned to Peter, where they continued to fight over the fact that whenever they face conflict, she gives up and runs away. Ultimately, Peter did not end up meeting Victoria's family. However, at the rose ceremony, despite all of the drama with Victoria, he still gave her a rose.
Peter gave his final three roses to Madison, Hannah Ann and Victoria, sending Kelsey home, which was a total surprise to both Kelsey and Bachelor Nation. In fact, viewers were dumbfounded as they took to social media sharing their disappointment with Peter.
