Country music star Hardy gets tattoo at Cincinnati shop

Michael Wilson Hardy, more commonly known as Hardy, has immortalized his time in Cincinnati with a tattoo.

The rising country rock star, who has written songs for Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton and more, was in Cincinnati on Friday to celebrate the release of his latest studio album "Quit." Hardy hosted a pop-up shop at Barber's Electric Tattoo in Oakley ahead of headlining the Country Concert music festival in Fort Loramie, Ohio, Saturday, according to an Instagram post from the singer.

Hardy also held an in-store vinyl signing at a Walmart in Evendale.

"Lookin’ like a good weekend to find yourself in Cincinnati," Hardy wrote.

According to the post, fans who attended the pop-up event received a free Hardy-themed tattoo on a first-come, first-served basis. But Hardy couldn't leave without getting some fresh ink himself.

"Dropped the album, got a tattoo, hung out at Walmart and played a festival for 29,000 friends! #quit," Hardy wrote in another post Sunday.

The content of Hardy's tattoo is unclear, but it appears to say "Jim Bob," a title to one of his songs.

Hardy returns to Cincinnati on Thursday, July 25, to headline a concert at Riverbend Music Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7:25 p.m. Special guests include Kip Moore and Travis Denning.

Tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster.
