Courteney Cox and daughter Coco Arquette dance on TikTok: 'Yes please'
Courteney Cox has still got the moves.
She shared a video of herself performing a choreographed dance with her 15-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette, whose father is Cox’s ex-husband David Arquette, Tuesday on Instagram.
Cox, 55, and her 15-year-old daughter had likely practiced the short routine before the camera was rolling. They were in sync as they fanned themselves, kicked up their legs and shook their hips to the beat of a rap song, in the clip that was initially shared on TikTok.
Cox captioned it, “Wanna see your child lose their patience? Do a TikTok with them,” and added the hashtag, “#familyaerobics.”
Both of them look mildly amused as they dance, but neither was as excited as Cox was early in her career when she famously co-starred in Bruce Springsteen’s 1984 hit “Dancing in the Dark,” or even as happy as she appeared in the opening montage of Friends. She did seem to be at about the same excitement level as she was when her character Monica busted out “the routine” with Ross on the set of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in a 1999 episode.
No matter. Fans, including some famous ones, were loving it. Allison Janney reacted with a “yes please,” while David Spade complimented the pair on their “solid ending.”
“Never thought monica geller would do a tiktok but here we are i guess,” someone else commented.
Another viewer said simply, “you killed it.”
Cox will appear on Wednesday’s episode of Modern Family, although there’s no guarantee she will be dancing.
