Crowded House Kick Off Next Era With New Single ‘Oh Hi’
New Zealand-bred music icons Crowded House have returned with a surprise new musical offering in the form of their uplifting new single ‘Oh Hi’. The ARIA Hall Of Famers’ new tune was produced by the band themselves alongside Steven Schram (Paul Kelly, San Cisco).
Thematically, the song has a deep connection to frontman Neil Finn’s support for So They Can, an international non-profit focused on building schools in remote parts of Kenya and Tanzania.

“I was inspired by children and thinking how much we need to let them learn and grow in safety and love,” Finn explained in a press statement. “Then we could learn from them. There are so many out of view that can be magnificent if only given a microphone and a lightbulb.”
With a career spanning almost four decades, Crowded House have sold over 15 million records worldwide, earned 13 ARIA Awards (including a Hall Of Fame induction in 2016) and have generated billions of streams online.
According to a press release, ‘Oh Hi’ will kick-off a brand new chapter from the iconic act, promising to bring more music and tour dates very soon.
