Crowds gather at Big Lick Comic Con in Roanoke
ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)– There were big crowds lined up on Saturday, Aug. 3 for the Big Lick Comic Con at the Berglund Center, celebrating all things comic books, science fiction, and fantasy.
A lot of the event’s attendees came dressed in costume as their favorite comic book characters, showing off their passion. Also, there were thousands of comic books to look through and purchase, comic book creators and artists to meet, and plenty of gamers and game vendors.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s and the Walking Dead’s Michael Rooker was one of the many celebrities on hand to meet with guests and sign autographs.
