Cuba Gooding Jr. Sued For Assault and Battery By Female Nightclub Worker
Cuba Gooding Jr. is being accused of assault and battery by a New York nightclub server.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Natasha Ashworth is suing the actor for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In the suit, Ashworth explains, “On October 24, 2018, Plaintiff was a server at Tao Downtown Nightclub, a popular Manhattan lounge. At 4:20am, as Plaintiff was waiting at the nightclub’s bar to complete her end of shift duties, Defendant approached Plaintiff and pinched her right buttocks. Plaintiff confronted Defendant telling him not to touch her.”

She accuses Gooding of responding “Aw that’s no fun” and proceeded to touch her arm and attempt to “touch the rear of Plaintiff’s body.”
Ashworth claims to have pushed his hand only for him to make a further attempt to touch her behind. The suit says, “Plaintiff then asked Defendant to leave. Yet, again, Defendant attempted to touch the rear of Plaintiff’s body. Plaintiff again moved away. Defendant then announced that he will never return to the nightclub again and departed the club. The incident is captured on video surveillance from two different angles.”
The alleged victim says she has, “sustained injuries, including but not limited to psychological trauma, emotional distress, mental anguish, embarrassment and humiliation.” The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.
Gooding Jr. was recently indicted by a grand jury over a separate groping incident. The alleged incident went down on June 9 at a rooftop bar in Times Square. He has denied all allegations.
