DaBaby Seemingly Responds To DaniLeigh’s Brother On Diss Track ‘Lawsuit On A Wednesday’

DaBaby’s been in the studio stomping on…beats.

The timing for “Lawsuit on a Wednesday” couldn’t be anymore ironic, and it has fans speculating as to who the intended target is—when most think it is DaniLeigh’s brother, Brandon Bills.

The most punching lyrics are of course, the chorus, “He was gangsta before, now you suin’ me, huh? / That tough s***, he don’t wanna do it no more / Out the spot, ain’t want nothin’ to do wit’ the wh**e.”

VIBE previously reported that Bills smacked DaBaby with a $4 million lawsuit behind a physical altercation from 2022 involving he and the “Suge” rapper.

DaBaby is the father to Bill’s sister, DaniLeigh. Their beef began after an Instagram live session in which DaBaby had DaniLeigh arrested and thrown out of his home on allegations of domestic violence. After the incident, Bills told TMZ that he was going to “knock DaBaby out,” adding, “I’m not these rappers, I really got hands.”

Things went differently.

There’s a short visual to the song that features DaBaby riding around a city in a vehicle as the song plays out. If the song is about Bills, the rapper addresses consequences to calling him out in the following verse, “Bark like a big dog, but he really a puppy / Your Honor, I’m scared of this man, look at him.”

Marc Griffin at VIBE reports “Bills’ suit states that he is owed $2 million in general damages and an additional $2 million for special damages after DaBaby attacked him for “no reason,” resulting in “severe injuries, psychological damage, and medical bills.”
