The connection between Daisy Kent and Joey Graziadei on season 28 of The Bachelor has been undeniable since day one. After she got the first one-on-one date of the season, the pair’s relationship has continued to flourish. Now, Daisy is one of the two remaining women hoping to get engaged to Joey during the March 25, 2024, finale.
Who Is Daisy Kent?
Daisy hails from Minnesota. While most fans ?met Daisy for the first time during her stint on The Bachelor, she actually went viral in 2023 when she shared her story about hearing loss and the power of cochlear implants on social media.
Her TikTok account had around 40,000 followers at the time and her videos focused on dealing with a disability. Her follower count skyrocketed to more than 87,000 after The Bachelor premiere.
The experience prompted her to write a children’s book titled, Daisy Doo: All The Sounds She Knew.
"I always wanted to write a children's book," Daisy said in an interview with CBS 8 in August 2023. “When I got the surgery, I realized there were a lot of emotions I went through. I was so scared; there was a lot of unknowns."

What Caused Daisy Kent’s Hearing Loss?
Daisy began losing her hearing at the age of 15 and in the interview with CBS 8, she recalled how one morning her dad attempted to wake her up, but she couldn’t hear him.
"He was shaking me, and I was like, 'This is weird,'” she said in the interview. "I looked at him, I couldn't hear him, then sat up and realized something was wrong with my left ear.”
"It started as a lot of high-pitched ringing and then just progressively got worse, and I couldn't understand speech very well," Daisy continued.
The social media influencer called the experience “super isolating” and taxing on the once social butterfly.
"When you're going through something like that, you do feel alone in ways, because it's your way to communicate with people and express yourself," she added.
Eventually doctors diagnosed her with Ménière's disease, a disorder of the inner ear, when she was 17. However, when Daisy was 21, tests confirmed that she also had Lyme disease, which doctors believed was potentially caused by a tick bite. They also thought that the Lyme disease likely contributed to her hearing loss.
Daisy opened up about her health struggles during her first one-on-one date with Joey on the January, 29, 2024, episode of The Bachelor. “When I was 11, I started having stroke-like seizures,” she shared. “They didn’t really know why. When other people would, if my siblings got sick, if I would get what they got I would be 10 times sicker.”
She revealed that as her hearing started getting worse, she also “kept getting sick” on and off. “It got to the point where I didn’t feel good at all, like, ever,” Daisy explained. “I could barely walk a block. I spent a lot of time in bed. I moved back home with my parents and I didn’t think I was ever going to get better.”
This was when Daisy finally got her Lyme disease diagnosis. She went to Germany for treatment and spent 30 days in the hospital. “I had tubes going into my chest,” she revealed. “I lost a ton of hair. I lost, like, 15 pounds in five days. It’s been pretty wild.”
Luckily, the treatment worked, and Daisy said that she’s been physically healthy ever since. However, her hearing kept getting worse. She got a cochlear implant in her left ear in 2022.
“It’s honestly really changed my life,” Daisy said on The Bachelor. “It’s exciting to me because I forgot everyday sounds. I’m so thankful and I’m so happy and my life is so full of love. I honestly just want someone to share that with. I haven’t dated since I got my implant so I’m super nervous.”
On the February 5, 2024, episode of The Bachelor, Daisy spent some time making sure that Joey was comfortable with her cochlear implant. “Do you want to touch it?” she asked him when they had a moment alone on that week’s group date.
“I want you to know I am fully capable with it,” she shared. “I am doing so well. But I am still learning with it. I’ll help you be more comfortable with it and it’ll probably help us. It’s just part of me.” Joey assured her that the cochlear implant is something that makes her “special, not different.”

How Far Does Daisy Make It During Joey Graziadei’s Season of ‘The Bachelor’?
Daisy is the runner-up on season 28 of The Bachelor, according to Reality Steve. Although the blogger initially reported that Daisy got engaged to Joey in the finale, he corrected his spoiler in February 2024 and said that Kelsey Anderson is actually the season winner.
Steve’s new report said that Daisy realized she wasn’t going to be Joey’s final pick during her last one-on-one date. “She goes to Kelsey’s room and essentially tell[s] her, ‘It’s not me, it’s you, and I’m gonna tell him that tomorrow,’” Steve wrote. This is something that has never happened on the show before, as the final two contestants are usually kept apart before the rose ceremony.
“I was told that conversation was pretty straightforward, it was supportive, and Daisy just knew she wasn’t getting picked the next day,” Steve added.
At the final rose ceremony, Daisy reportedly “arrive[s] first and basically tells Joey what she told Kelsey the night before. She realizes it’s not her,” according to Steve. He also said that the pair’s conversation was “positive” before their breakup.
A preview for the season finale teased trouble in Daisy and Joey's relationship. While one clip showed the Minnesota native having an emotional meeting with Joey's family, another promo revealed some doubts in her mind.
