Dakota Johnson Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Dakota Johnson stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night to promote her newest film, Daddio, which hits theaters next week. But during her appearance, the 34-year-old suffered an apparent wardrobe malfunction when the decorative strap of her dress fell apart.

The moment occurred when Kimmel was playing a clip of the film, in which she stars alongside Sean Penn as a woman being driven in a cab from JFK International Airport to her Manhattan apartment. Penn plays the driver, and the bulk of the film takes place in the cab.

"That is Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn in Daddio—Dakota, your dress just came unhooked," Kimmel quipped after running the clip, asking if he should get some Scotch tape. "My dress just—it just fell off," Johnson admitted.

"Well, I'll just hold it," she offered, as Kimmel attempted to steer the conversation back to the movie. However Johnson seemed distracted by the unplanned moment. "Yeah, just hold the important part," the host continued, as Johnson placed her hands on her chest to keep the top off the dress from falling down.

"The movie is really good," she said, smiling nervously.

Changing the subject, Kimmel then asked about a so-called "dick pic" that appears on screen in the movie, that Johnson's character receives from a man she's seeing.

"So, there is this sort of ominous third character in the movie—you never see him, you never really meet him, and Girlie, my character is texting with him and he sends this dick pic," she explained. "And when we were, you know, casting the dick pic—there's not really like a back stock of like, penis photos that are ... usable in movies ... not ones that you can like use in a film, you have to have it signed off on."

As such, Johnson said that the props master on the film, a woman in her 60s, had a group of her male friends anonymously send her penis photos, which the pair, along with the director and her producing partner, chose from. All the while, as she relayed the story, the Madame Web star continued to hold up her dress.

"Well, you guys did a great job with the movie—it is, uh, you know, you, Sean, the penis guy, all great," Kimmel added.
