Netflix is heading back to the Dallas Cowboys’ sideline.

The streamer had ordered a second season of its unscripted series America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Season one, which premiered in June, spent four weeks in Netflix’s worldwide top 10 English-language series (and one additional week in the United States).

More from The Hollywood Reporter

The second season of the show will follow the squad through its 2024-25 campaign, starting with auditions and continuing through the NFL season. (The Cowboys are currently struggling on the field, with a record of 3-6 through Nov. 10.)

America’s Sweethearts is part of an ongoing relationship Netflix has with the Cowboys. The streamer is also working on a docuseries about the team and its owner, Jerry Jones, with a focus on the Cowboys’ dominance of the early and mid-1990s, when they won three Super Bowls in four years. (Netflix’s upcoming Jake Paul-Mike Tyson boxing match will also take place at the Cowboys’ home, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.)

Cheer and Last Chance U outfit One Potato Productions produces America’s Sweethearts with Boardwalk Pictures, in association with Campfure Studios. One Potato’s Greg Whiteley (who also directs) and Adam Leibowitz executive produce with Andrew Fried and Dane Lillegard of Boardwalk Pictures and Ross M. Dinerstein and Rebecca Evans of Campfire Studios.
