Dalton Dover Says His Latest Single ‘Would Make His Heroes Proud’
Dalton Dover had a vision with his latest single, “Bury Me in a Bar,” and the collaborative output of the track turned out to be something he’s very pleased with. In addition to the new song and a looming trek with Sam Hunt, the singer also partnered with Bud Light in time for the summer season.
As part of the team-up, Dalton and several country hitmakers will perform for fans 21 and older in age at Billboard presents Bud Light Backyard, a two-day concert event at Tin Roof Nashville set amid CMA Fest. While Dover, Alana Springsteen and Corey Kent will kick things off June 7, Dasha, George Birge and LOCASH will continue festivities on June 8.

Since the launch of his counterpart Bud Light Backyard session, Dalton spoke to Billboard exclusively about the partnership and his latest musical offering.
“Bud light has always been one of my favorite beers, so to be able to work with them has been a dream come true,” the singer explained. “And don’t get me started on Billboard, as an artist, it’s always been a goal of mine to work with them on something like this. Can’t believe I finally get to do that.”
For his installment of the content series, Dalton took to Nashville for a day that he described as “an honor.” “Oh man, it was a blast,” he recalled. “Just being able to kick it with friends in the backyard, play games, drink some cold Bud Light. I mean, I can’t think of a better way to enjoy the day.”
For his looming performance, the singer said that he and his team are going to “bring the party.” “Any night on Broadway is a good time, but walking into Tin Roof always kicks it up a notch,” he continued. “No place I’d rather be!”
Dalton is currently working on the follow-up to his debut album, Never Giving Up On That, but his latest single, “Bury Me in a Bar,” is something that is indicative of his current muse.
“This is easily one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of writing,” he said of the track. “When we went into that room with the idea, we really wanted to capture the energy of those ‘90s country bar anthems everyone knows and loves. You know, the songs that you just can’t skip or resist singing along to when you hear it. I really believe this song is something that would make my heroes proud, and I think that’s the best part.”
Fans can expect to hear that one and many more on his upcoming headlining tour, as well as his collaborative shows with Sam Hunt on the “Locked Up Tour” this summer. “People can expect a party. You are guaranteed to have a great time!” he teased.
