Dame Dash Blasts Steve Stoute Over Claim He Ran From Fight: “The Funniest Sh*t I Ever Heard”
It seems Nicki Minaj wasn’t the only one who took issue with Steve Stoute’s latest podcast appearance, as Dame Dash has called out the music executive for lying about a confrontation between them.
During a sit-down on The Pivot podcast, Stoute recalled a moment of confrontation between himself and Dash, as the former Roc-A-Fella boss has previously claimed that he slapped Stoute over an $18,000 debt.
“Over $18,000, Dame and I had an altercation,” Stoute admitted. “We had two altercations. We’re in an office…it was like 10 guys in the room, I was by myself, and we got into an altercation, no doubt. Yelling, fighting, whatever.”
He then goes on to describe a second time they saw each other two years later, with Stoute claiming Dash pushed one of the women he was with in front of him and ran off.
“The girl he pushed in front of me falls, and then sues me,” he claimed. “The insurance company pays out her.”
Dash reposted the clip to his own Instagram, denying Stoute’s recollection of a second confrontation.
“I smacked the sh*t out of you and that was it get over it…and me running from you in front of my girl is the funniest sh*t I ever heard 10 dudes in the room is crazy,” he wrote, followed by laughing emojis. “We are both over 50 now go get some therapy and move on.” Check out the clip and Dash’s response below.
During a March 2024 appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Stoute claimed that Dash pushed business partners — including Jay-Z — away by refusing to mature.
“Dame wouldn’t change,” he told Sharpe on the popular podcast. “The way he spoke to people, the way he treated people. He was angry. He was angry because he had a strong perspective about his business philosophy […] People were becoming less beholden to him.”
“Jay seen Dame’s ceiling,” he added. “He wanted more. And everybody wanted more. Dame just had a very particular way of approaching it. He’s far from stupid. Very very very smart. Very talented. Ego through the roof. Through the roof! So, there was no working with him. No one wanted to work with him. As much talent as he has, nobody [wants] to work with him.”
Dash soon responded with the reveal that he slapped Stoute so hard, that he broke his very expensive timepiece in the process.
“He asked me, he said, ‘Yo, did you just smack me?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, ni**a and ain’t nothing between us but the wind. I’ll give you a fair one’…I had a Franck Muller [watch] on my [left arm]—crack!—and sh*t just broke.”
