Dame Dash Questions 50 Cent For Touching Cam’ron “On The Hips” In Viral Clip
Damon Dash is not taking 50 Cent’s heckling lying down, as the mogul recently poked fun at a clip of Fif touching Cam’ron in a manner Dash deemed inappropriate for a man.
During an episode on his America Nu Network YouTube channel, Dash reacted to a clip of 50 and Cam’ron greeting each other last month at UnitedMasters’ annual SelectCon event in New York City. In the video, Fif can be seen gently patting Cam’ron on the side of his waist as they exchange pleasantries.
The encounter may have appeared innocent on the surface, however, Dash literally called foul on Cam allowing the Queens rapper to touch him on that area of his body, seemingly questioning the sexual implications one could make of the incident.
“I called Cam with the serious face like, ‘Yo, I saw that sh*t with 50 Cent,'” the 53-year-old said in reference to the moment during the broadcast. “Why he giving you the pat pat? Since when did ni**as see each other, they smacking each other on the hips? What’s that all about? What was your reaction?’” he asked of his longtime friend.
“Did you say stop? What do you do when a strong-a** ni**a in a tight suit smacks you on the a**? You gotta say stop. No pat pat. We not in the pat pat club.’”
In addition to throwing shots at the Power executive producer on his America Nu Network, Dash further admonished 50 Cent for being too touchy in a post on his Instagram account.
“Hey @50Cent I don’t care how much money you’re getting we don’t do the Pat Pat club #NoPatPatClub pause,” he wrote in the post, which included a portion of him speaking on Fif and Cam’s meetup.
He also referenced his previous challenge to the 49-year-old to launch his own independent programming network while acknowledging the success of his own. “I’m still waiting for you to drop your network … I know @americanunetworks is about to hit 100k downloads,” the serial entrepreneur boasted.
Dash and 50 Cent have been trading slights over the past several months, with the latter recently roasting Dash for claiming he “prayed” for his dentures to fall out of his mouth during a livestream in order to drum up engagement and publicity.
