In a tweet on July 8, Bobby Steveson, also known as Damon Kemp, announced that he was no longer under contract with WWE. He stated that he was forever grateful for the experiences that he had and the people he met.

Fightful Select then reported that this was not part of a round of cuts but rather that WWE decided not to renew Kemp’s contract.
Kemp last wrested on the June 25 episode of WWE NXT, where he lost to Tavion Heights. He made his debut in December 2021. He had been a member of No Quarter Catch Crew on NXT programming.
Bobby is the brother of Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson, whose WWE release was reported in May.
