Dan Magnante Joins 2AM To Produce Television
EXCLUSIVE: Dan Magnante has been hired by 2AM, the production/ management company founded by Christine D’Souza Gelb, David Hinojosa and Kevin Rowe. Magnante will join as a producer with a focus on television.
Overseen by Hinojosa, 2AM’s film and TV production division just launched with a Venice Film Festival World Premiere Halina Reijn’s Babygirl—starring Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson, and Antonio Banderas. A North American premiere is upcoming at TIFF, as is one for Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist, on which Hinojosa was exec producer. The company is also in post-production on Celine Song’s Materialists, featuring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal. Previously, 2AM produced Song’s directing debut, the Oscar-nominated film Past Lives.

Magnante will be based in 2AM’s Los Angeles office with D’Souza Gelb and Julia Nelson. Magnante has produced both film and television, and he spent over a decade at Paul Feig’s Feigco Entertainment. In his role as Head of Television, he was responsible for the partnership between Feigco and Lionsgate Television. He was exec producer of the series Minx (Max), Love Life (Max), and the Netflix film Someone Great. He also produced Welcome to Flatch (Fox) and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (NBC). He began his career at 3 Arts Entertainment.
