Dancing With the Stars’ 500th Episode Special: Songs and Routine Inspirations Revealed
Dancing With the Stars is traveling back in time to commemorate the show’s milestone 500th episode.
The season 33 cast will celebrate the long-running ABC competition series on Tuesday, November 12, by recreating some of its most memorable dances from over the years. The duos will channel past stars such as Riker Lynch, Kellie Pickler and Jordan Fisher while adding their own twists on the classic performances.
On top of their regular routines, this season’s celebs and pros will compete in an “Instant Dance Challenge.” The pairs won’t know their dance style or song until five minutes before the live challenge.
The night will kick off with an opening number set to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “Crazy in Love,” choreographed by married ballroom pros Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach. The track holds a place in DWTS history as it opened the show’s very first episode back in 2005.
In the spirit of honoring the show’s legacy, the 500th episode will feature appearances from several familiar faces who have yet to be revealed.
Scroll down to see which routines the remaining season 33 contestants will perform during the DWTS 500th episode celebration:

The Super Bowl champion and his partner will create their own version of season 5 winners Hélio Castroneves and Julianne Hough’s quickstep to “Hey Pachuco” by Royal Crown Revue.
