More: Dancing With the Stars pros ranked from the least to most Mirrorball Trophy wins
There are always surprises and you never know who will throw themselves into the dancing challenges every week and emerge the victor. Looking at the lineup, athletes are always a great watch in the Dancing With the Stars competition because they have the drive and athleticism to master difficult dance choreography. That doesn’t always mean they’re the most graceful on the dance floor, however.
Right out of the gate, some of the standouts for fans are the Olympians, Nedoroscik and Maher, not only because of their dedication to their sports and strength but also because they have a lot of personality. There’s nothing more fun than seeing how every star’s personality shines through when it comes to the competition.
Reality stars, models, and actors also bring a lot to the show since they know how to work in front of cameras. Spelling and VelJohnson also bring a nostalgia factor, so we can’t wait to see if their performances have any winky moments for fans.
Here are our winner predictions — who do you think will win Dancing With the Stars?
Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten
Team USA rugby player Maher was winning the social media game with her viral Paris Olympics TikToks, so she’s already got a lot of fans going into this. She has personality for days but is also a fierce competitor. Maher is definitely going to be one star to keep your eye on, both for her humor and for her strength and power. Six Olympians have won the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy but it has yet to be a rugby player.

Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold
US Olympic gymnast Nedoroscik is also going to be one to watch. He gained attention during the 2024 Summer Olympics as the “pommel horse guy,” winning an individual bronze medal for his performance on the apparatus and a bronze in the team event. His personality is charming and sweet and fans are eager to see him channel his talents on the dance floor. Gymnasts Shawn Johnson and Laurie Hernandez have won DWTS in the past and Nedoroscik could definitely join their ranks.
Danny Amendola and Witney Carson
Professional football stars have also excelled in this competition and many fans believe Amendola could come out on top this season. Other wide receivers who have snagged the DWTS trophy include Hines Ward and Donald Driver. In a discussion on Reddit, one fan noted, “Football stars have a large fanbase and usually do fairly well on the show. Witney is also super popular and has killer choreography.” They could definitely snag the trophy.
