‘Dancing With The Stars’ Episode Pre-empted As ABC Tweaks Schedule Due To Vice Presidential Debate
ABC is the latest broadcast network to adjust its schedule to accomodate the vice presidential debate between Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), hosted by CBS News, which is scheduled for Oct. 1.
The Dancing with the Stars episode previously scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 1, will be preempted. Instead, the network will double pump the ballroom dancing competition the following week with a two-night event on Monday, Oct 7, and Tuesday, Oct 8. As previously announced, season 33 of Dancing with the Stars premieres Sept.17, simulcast live on ABC and Disney+ and available next day on Hulu.

A new season of What Would You Do?, hosted by ABC News’ John Qui?ones, will launch Monday, Oct. 7.
The View co-host Sara Haines returns as a correspondent, joining Qui?ones as they travel to Missouri, Colorado, New Jersey, New York and more.
As a result of Dancing With the Stars‘ preemption, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Press Your Luck will now return with new episodes Oct. 14.
In making scheduling changes, ABC joins Fox, which delayed the Season 2 premiere of Accused, previously slated for Oct. 1, to Oct. 8. Similarly The Irrational‘s Season 2 premiere also has been moved back a week to Oct. 8.
