‘Dancing With the Stars’: Fan Favorite Gets Sent Home as Disney Night Receives Record Number of Audience Votes
Disney Night never disappoints on “Dancing With the Stars.” During the Oct. 22 episode, the duos pushed for the first 10 of the season — especially after two pairs tied at the top of the leaderboards last week with all 9s.
During Dedication Week, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson’s Viennese waltz and Danny Amendola and Witney Carson’s Contemporary routine both earned scores of 27/30. For Disney week, both wanted to fight for the first 10 of the season.

Unfortunately, Joey and Jenna’s Samba to “Trashin’ the Camp” from “Tarzan” came up short, earning a 25/30. Danny and Witney, meanwhile, performed a very powerful Jazz routine to “Bye Bye Bye” from “Deadpool & Wolverine,” but still only managed three 9s.
Elsewhere, Chandler Kinney admitted that she got into her head after her last dance when Carrie Ann Inaba told her to “dig deeper.” So, she did just that for her Paso Doble with Brandon Armstrong, dancing to “We Own the Night” from her own movie, “ZOMBIES 2.” The high-energy routine earned the duo three 9s.
Here are all the scores from the individual routines:
Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong: 27/30
Danny Amendola and Witney Carson: 27/30
Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson: 25/30
Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten: 25/30
Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach: 24/30
Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold: 24/30
Phaedra Parks and Val Chmerkovskiy: 24/30
Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber: 24/30
After the solo routines, the cast was split into two teams. Team Roar featured Dwight and Daniella, Danny and Witney, Stephen and Rylee, and Phaedra and Val. Although they were not in sync for their fun routine, they received a score of 24/30.
Team Goofs went next, as Ilona and Alan, Joey and Jenna, Chandler and Brandon, and Jenn and Sasha impressed the judges. Bruno Tonioli even said that, when it came to the women, it was hard to tell who were the pros and who were the celebs. This group earned a score of 27/30.
The team scores were added to each of the individual dances, meaning Chandler and Brandon stayed at the top of the leaderboard, followed by Ilona and Alan tied with Joey and Jenna; then Danny and Witney tied with Jenn and Sasha. Dwight and Daniela, Phaedra and Val, and Stephen and Rylee were tied at the bottom.
Scores were then combined with audience votes. At the end, cohost Alfonso Ribeiro announced that, once again, viewers had broken the record for the number of single votes in one night.
But still, someone had to go. Phaedra and Val were ultimately eliminated.
