Since becoming a dad, a few things have substantially changed for Daniel Radcliffe — including how often he cries.
Ahead of the 2024 Tony Awards, the Harry Potter alum, 34, spoke with E! News about his role as a father, noting that becoming a dad is "the best."
"I cry a lot more, in like a nice way," Radcliffe joked. "And yeah, it's just the best thing that ever has happened to me."

As for whether or not he wants his baby son, whom he welcomed in April 2023 with girlfriend Erin Darke, to follow in his acting footsteps, the Merrily We Roll Along star says he's not sure he wants his son to join the industry.
"Not unless he really wants to," Radcliffe says of his son becoming an actor. "I don’t want to stop him from doing that."
"But if you can do something other than acting, if you want to do something behind the scenes, it’s a lot more of a healthy life in a lot of ways. If he can act and not be famous, great, then I can encourage it."
Radcliffe also spoke with PEOPLE at the Tony Awards, sharing that he postponed his Father's Day plans since the awards show landed on the same day.
“I'm going to be doing most of my celebrating of Father's Day tomorrow,” Radcliffe explained. “I saw him in the morning and then went to [Tonys] rehearsal and then went back and saw him again."
"And then I had a matinee today, so I haven't done a ton of hanging out with my son on Father's Day, but I will be doing that tomorrow, and I'm very excited about it.”
The star opened up about his “incredible” son in an October interview on Today with Hoda & Jenna. “It's awesome,” he said of fatherhood at the time. “I think I've been, really, I think a lot of people said, 'Just get through the first six months and after that it gets better.' But I've kind of really enjoyed the first six months.”
"Is it what you imagined?" host Hoda Kotb asked.
"I don't know what I imagined, honestly. But it's great. He's incredible and I'm just in awe of my partner," the actor explained.
