Dave Bennett Quartet to perform at Opera House Aug. 25

CHEBOYGAN — Dave Bennett returns to the Opera House at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25 with his distinctive mix of jazz, swing and classic ’50s-era rock.

Listeners will recognize the influences of Benny Goodman, Pete Fountain, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles, Chris Isaak, Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins.

“We cover different genres. So our audiences can have a ball hearing songs that they’ve grown up with and while introducing them to my own original music," Bennett said. "My band and I have the greatest job in the world!"
