David Henrie had Harry Styles fans screaming after the actor failed to connect the pop star to his baby picture in a new TikTok video.

Last week, the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place star and his costar, Mimi Gianopulos, tested their skills at the “Guess The Celeb Baby” game during an interview with Flight House; however, the challenge proved tricky for the pair, who struggled to identify the A-list star behind the adorable baby photo.

Eventually, a lightbulb appeared to go off for Henrie, 35, who thought he had the name on the tip of his tongue. “What’s her name? I can’t even think of a movie she’s in, but I know exactly who this is,” the Disney star said to the producer off-camera. But once the producer revealed the mystery celeb wasn’t a female, the TV star lost all confidence in his answer.

The producer’s hint helped Gianopulos as she immediately hit the buzzer and correctly guessed the former One Direction band member. Henrie humorously walked out of the frame and acted unconvinced that the photo was not of a little girl. “It’s a girl! That is a cute girl!” he yelled, pointing at the Polaroid as Gianopulos laughed at her castmate’s reaction.

The Wrath of Directioners

One Direction fans, also known as “Directioners,” were dumbfounded by how much Henrie missed the mark and said so in the comments of the video.

“All directioners knowing who it is straight away,” one fan wrote.

“THE WAY I KEPT SCREAMING HARRY STYLES!!!” a second remarked.

“What’s her name? SIRRRRR that’s Harry styles,” pointed out a third.

“‘It’s a cute girl,'” a fourth mocked with several crying, laughing face emojis.

“Bro, Harry literally still has the exact same face. HOW COULD HE HAVE NOT KNOWN??? It’s a crime that it took them so long,” reacted a fifth.

“David, you’re fired, sir,” someone else joked, while a third said, “I scrolled and said, ‘Oh, that’s Harry Styles.’ It’s so obvious too.”

Back on Waverly Place

Henrie is reprising his iconic role as Justin Russo in the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel, which premiered on October 29 on Disney Channel, and reuniting with his TV siblings Selena Gomez and Jake T. Austin. In a recent interview with People, the Monster Summer star reflected on the show’s reboot and maintaining a tight bond with Gomez. “It was a dream come true. [She] and I have kept in such good contact and remain good friends,” Henrie said.

He also touched on how the Only Murders in the Building star has evolved since they first met on the set as teenagers. “She’s continued to get more and more mature. She’s really settling into herself and her own and really owning her life,” the How I Met Your Mother star gushed, adding it’s “been wonderful to see her continue to grow into a beautiful woman.”

As for what it’s been like being back on set where his career took off 17 years ago, Henrie admitted it’s “a dream come true.”

Getting to pass the wand off to a whole new generation — but at the same time give a big, warm hug to our OG fans — is a dream come true for both of us, the father of three revealed. “It’s nuts. As I was driving here, we passed the Wizards poster on Sunset, and you see that thing, and you’re just like, ‘Whoa. It’s really happening. It’s really happening. It’s crazy, he added.

Gomez had a similar response when speaking to the Associated Press weeks earlier about the sequel. “I truly feel like it was the place I started, and I’ll always be grateful for that time, and I just hope that this new chapter can bring a whole new audience joy the same way that we did when we were younger,” said the actress.
