David Schwimmer, longtime co-star and friend of Matthew Perry, has been spotted in public for the first time following Perry's unexpected death.

Perry and the other five “Friends” became extremely close on set, however, none of them have yet commented on the loss of Matthew Perry. Sources state Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer), Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow plan to release a joint statement once they are ready.

As fans of the sitcom wait to hear the cast's statement, David Schwimmer is stepping out of his apartment for the first time since Perry's passing.

Yesterday, the "Friends" actor was seen accepting a food delivery order as flashed a peace sign to photographers outside.

Today, Schwimmer, who portrayed Ross Geller on the long-running sitcom, stepped out of his Manhattan home wearing a baseball cap and a medical mask that covered most of his face. He left his apartment for the first time since learning of Matthew Perry's death two days ago.

“The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother because that’s what Matty was — their brother,” a source told said.

Matthew Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the famous sitcom, ‘Friends,’ where he appeared alongside Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller/Bing), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), and Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay).

While promoting his 2022 memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” the 54-year-old actor spoke out on how he wanted to be remembered whenever the time. “[I want to be remembered] as a guy who lived life, loved well, lived well, and helped people. That running into me was a good thing and not something bad.”

And that is exactly how Perry is being remembered. Following his death, fans and celebrities immediately spoke out, thanking him for all of the laughs and the inspiration he provided over the years.

Paget Brewster, who portrayed Kathy on “Friends”, released a heartfelt statement to her on-screen love interest, Chandler, played by Perry, after finding out about his passing.

"I’m so very sad to hear about Matthew Perry,” she wrote, adding, “He was lovely to me on ‘Friends’ and every time I saw him in the decades after.”

The “Friends” actress then asked fans to “please read his book” as “it was his legacy to help”. She is referring to Perry’s 2022 memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing”, in which he opened up about his life, his struggle with alcohol and drugs, and even the one time doctors told him he had a “2% chance to live”.

“He won’t rest in peace though.. He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there,” she concluded.
