DDG Reveals How Much He Spends On Baby Halo’s Drip, Talks Going 50/50 With Halle Bailey
YouTuber and rapper DDG recently stepped into The Shade Room for an episode of Keep It 100.
The media platform came along for a day of shopping with the “Moonwalking In Calabasas” artist, where he not only dropped hefty bags on his son, Halo, but also spoke on the financial dynamics of his relationship with Halle Bailey and more.
“I’m his stylist. I made sure I told Halle that was my job,” he admitted. “We collaborate now, but when it comes to popping out to special events like playdates, I feel like that’s where I come in and put together the best outfits for him.”
Besides a wardrobe full of designer labels and custom pieces, DDG, né Darryl Dwayne Granberry, revealed that the little guy is already collecting his own iced-out hardware.
“I got him a chain! It comes tomorrow. It’s a bustdown diamond chain, all real,” he boasted. “Me and the jeweler came up with a logo together. It’s like the letter H with a halo on top of it.” He also revealed the inspiration behind Halo’s name, which was a play off of Bailey’s first name.
“He has my last name so I kind of wanted him to have something of Halle’s, so it’s like H-A -L is hers and H-A-L is his,” he explained. “It looks the same if you put Halle and Halo next to each other.”
Speaking of all the money he spends to keep his baby in the latest, he also opened up about his first date with The Little Mermaid star and spoke on the trendy topic of “going Dutch.”
“When we went on our first date, she was carrying the conversation,” he recalled before adding, “I think 50/50 is cool when it comes to— nah not 50/50. I pay for a lot of stuff. I don’t think 50/50 is a thing when you have money. Me and her have money so it’s a little different.”
As some are just getting hip to DDG, there may be some confusion as to where the 26-year-old’s big bags come from. However, OG fans know that the content creator has always made a killing from Youtube and other endeavors.
He even bought his own multi-million dollar home years before meeting Bailey, which is all documented on his Vlogging channel. See below.
“I don’t want people to pocket watch too crazy,” he spoke of his finances. “On a low month, I’ll pull in a little hundred piece [$100,000+]. On a high month, we can go anywhere from five and up [$500,000+].”
“I work very hard. A lot of people don’t give me credit for what I do, but being relevant in the space I’m in for as long as I have, a lot of people look at me as an OG,” he further expressed. “I’m 26, but I’ve been doing it since I was 19. I inspired a lot of the new creators that we are seeing now.”
