‘Deal or No Deal Island’ announces Season 2 premiere date and female Banker: Watch the trailer
NBC announced today that the premiere date for “Deal or No Deal Island” Season 2 will be on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The premiere will air as a special two-hour event. Subsequent episodes will be one hour in length and will air on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Watch the trailer above.
Joe Manganiello returns as the host of the reality TV show, and he also serves as an executive producer with Howie Mandel, who hosted the original “Deal or No Deal” game show on NBC. “The Banker is back with a vengeance,” Manganiello teases in the new video. Last year, Mandel surprised audiences by appearing as the Banker in the season finale, but someone else will be sitting in that coveted seat this year … and it’s a woman. Any guesses?!

Three villainous reality stars will take part in this year’s competition: “Big Brother 2’s” Will Kirby, “Survivor: Micronesia’s” Parvati Shallow, and “Australian Survivor: All Stars'” David Genat. They will duke it out against 11 other contestants for the chance of facing off against the female Banker for untold amounts of money.

Also in Season 2, love is in the air as two contestants engage in a sexy showmance. NBC tells us there are going to be “explosive confrontations in the Temple,” so get the popcorn ready. The weekly excursions will be extra unpredictable this year, and the season finale has the potential to end with the largest cash prize in reality competition history.
In this hybrid reality/game show, briefcases are hidden around a tropical island carrying more than $200 million in prize money. In each episode, contestants take part in challenges to win briefcases that will be used in that night’s edition of the classic “Deal or No Deal.” The chosen player then opens cases one by one. If they ultimately come away with a “bad deal,” they are eliminated. But if they end up making a “good deal,” they earn the sole power to eliminate someone else.
