What’s better than one cutthroat reality TV star competing on an exotic island for millions of dollars? How about three! For Season 2 of NBC’s fan-fave “Deal or No Deal Island,” the winners of “Big Brother 2” (Will Kirby), “Survivor: Micronesia” (Parvati Shallow) and “Australian Survivor: All Stars” (David Genat) will duke it out against 11 other contestants for the chance of facing off against the Banker for untold amounts of money. (Last year, “Survivor: Redemption Island” champion Rob Mariano was the only well-known figure to take part.)

Returning for the second season of “Deal or No Deal Island” are host/executive producer Joe Manganiello, briefcase models/Banker’s assistants Kamari Love and Ben Crofchick, and executive producer Howie Mandel. Note that Howie also popped up as the Banker during the Season 1 finale, but there’s no word yet if he’ll be taking on those duties again this year.

In this hybrid reality/game show, briefcases are hidden around an island carrying more than $200 million in prize money. In each episode, contestants take part in challenges to win briefcases that will be used in that night’s edition of the classic “Deal or No Deal.” The chosen player then opens cases one by one. If they ultimately come away with a “bad deal,” they are eliminated. But if they end up making a “good deal,” they get the sole power to eliminate someone else.

Per NBC: “‘Deal or No Deal Island’ reached 30 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms in its first season. The series averaged 5.8 million total viewers across all platforms, more than doubling its live audience. The series was the #1 NBC unscripted show on Peacock in the 2023-24 season.”
