Titled “Gothic Realism,” the new collection pairs the bookish style of Cutler and Gross frames with the rock and roll sensibilities of The Great Frog’s jewelry. Harry helps to introduce six new silhouettes, each handcrafted in Cutler and Gross’s Italian atelier and punctuated with sterling silver or 24K gold-plated accents – details that have long been synonymous with The Great Frog. Each style is available in multiple colorways, with 100% UVA and UVB lenses. Prices start at $655 at CutlerandGross.com.

The brands say the collection of optical frames and sunglasses was inspired by punk music, goth fashion and mythical characters from the “underworld,” adding in a press release that the pieces “translate the dark tales and spine-tingling legends into an optical vocabulary.”

Aside from her signature blond coif, Harry has long been known for sporting sunglasses in her live performances, music videos and countless magazine spreads, and the Blondie singer returned to a familiar haunt for this campaign, posing at New York’s Chelsea Hotel.

The now-iconic institution was the stomping grounds for many of music’s most famous artists — and muses — with Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Harry herself, calling the Chelsea Hotel home at one point or another in their careers. Harry’s new campaign was shot by Bruce Gilden, one of the most revered street photographers of all time, and finds the rockstar posing on the hotel’s famous balcony and at their bar.

Cutler and Gross says Harry was an easy choice to front the campaign, with the singer having worn the brand’s glasses in the past. In a statement, Cutler and Gross called the Blondie singer an “iconic figure” in fashion. “Renowned for her eclectic punk aesthetic and distinctive beauty signatures, Debbie Harry pioneered the 70s and 80s fashion scene as an iconic figure who made grunge glamorous and cool,” the statement reads. “Her style remains as relevant today as ever, making her the perfect frontwoman for the collaboration.”

The Cutler and Gross x The Great Frog collaboration is available now in stores and online here.
