Deep Cover: Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom & More Join Prime Video’s Action Comedy Movie
According to Collider, Bryce Dallas Howard (Argylle) and Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings) have signed on for the leading roles in Prime Video’s forthcoming action comedy titled, Deep Cover.
In addition, Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), Ian McShane (John Wick), Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso) and Sonoya Mizuno (Maniac, House of the Dragon) have also been cast for the project. Production is scheduled to begin on February 5 in London.
“We’re delighted to be bringing this new action comedy to our customers,” Prime Video executive Tushar Jindal said in a statement. “With an incredible cast, a top-class creative team, and a fantastic script we know it’s going to be a hit.”
What to expect in Deep Cover?
Deep Cover will be directed by Tom Kingsley from a screenplay written by British improv duo Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen, based on Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow. The story is set to follow “three improv actors hired by the police to help stage low-level stings,” reads the synopsis. “Their instinct to ‘always say yes’ without breaking character leads them deep inside the London criminal underworld.”
The film is produced by Trevorrow, Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald and Annys Hamilton. It is a production by Metronome Film Co.
