Def Leppard's Rick Allen and Wife Singer/Songwriter Lauren Monroe Host NYC All-Star Jam Benefiting Their Raven Drum Foundation
Raven Drum Foundation founders, legendary drummer Rick Allen of Def Leppard and singer-songwriter/healing arts practitioner Lauren Monroe threw the organizations first benefit concert at The Cutting Room in New York City last week. The evening raised funds for the foundation which serves, educates, and empowers trauma survivors, as well as Friends of Firefighters ; supporting mental health of first responders. Allen and Monroe performed a set of Monroe's original music, followed by an All-Star Jam including musical luminaries such as Paul Shaffer and Will Lee (the World's Most Dangerous Band), Peter Criss (KISS), Jim Keltner (Ringo Starr, John Lennon, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, The Traveling Wilburys), Eddie Brigati (The Rascals), Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel), Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic), Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live Band), Corky Laing (Mountain), Christine Ohlman (Saturday Night Live Band), Simon Kirke (Bad Company), and more. We chatted with the talented and philanthropic husband and wife duo as well as iconic drummers, KISS' Peter Criss, The Rascals' Eddie Brigati, and Bad Company's Simon Kirke all about the event and how to give back.
