Demi Lovato Celebrates Sobriety 1-Year After Near-Fatal Overdose at Friend's Birthday

Demi Lovato is one-year sober after her near-fatal overdose that took place on this day in 2018.

The singer celebrated her milestone by going out with friends to celebrate one of her BFF's birthdays on Tuesday, the eve of her one-year.

The group -- which included YouTube star Cameron Dallas -- ate dinner at the famous Beverly Hills restaurant, Barton G.

The upscale dining establishment is known for its off the wall combinations and unique presentations.

Footage taken inside the party shows Lovato sitting next to the birthday girl, Chloe, and loads of cocktail drinks on the table ... but none in front of the singer.

Lovato, who's 26 years old, seemed in good spirits and is seen singing and laughing along with the group.

She even stopped to pose for the big group shot because if it's not on IG, it didn't happen.

The "Tell Me You Love Me singer has been absent from social media for weeks after saying she needed a break.

Lovato looked healthy and happy at the party, stunning in a black crop top with denim jacket.

It's been one year since she was rushed to the hospital following a near-fatal overdose in her Hollywood Hills home.

As The Blast first reported, Lovato was uncooperative with police and would not tell responders what drugs she took when she was questioned about her overdose on July 24, 2018.

About two weeks later, she entered rehab where she stayed for three months.

Since leaving rehab, Lovato has been dedicated to her sobriety and health. She has returned to the studio and has signed with Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun.

In March, Lovato reflected on what would have been seven years sober.

"Today I would've been 7 years sober," the singer wrote. "I don't regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes but I must never forget that's exactly what they were: mistakes."
