Demi Moore Reflects on Shooting Famous 'Charlie's Angels' Bikini Scene Over 40

Demi Moore appears in the cover story for the latest issue of Interview magazine, showing off her stunning figure in the accompanying photoshoot. But while the actress undoubtedly still looks flawless at 61, she recalled a time when she wasn't sure where she fit into Hollywood.

While being interviewed by Michelle Yeoh, Moore opened up about the nudity in her upcoming horror film, The Substance, and how the scenes were intended to represent vulnerability as opposed to being sexualized. When asked whether "representing a past ideal" had resonated with her when she read the script, she brought up another scene in which her body was on nearly full display in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

In particular, the 2003 sequel featured a beach bikini scene that got no small amount of attention at the time.

"What’s interesting is I felt it more when I hit my 40s. I had done Charlie's Angels and there was a lot of conversation around this scene in a bikini, and it was all very heightened, a lot of talk about how I looked," Moore explained. "And then I found that there didn’t seem to be a place for me. I didn’t feel like I didn’t belong. It’s more like I felt that feeling of, I’m not 20, I’m not 30, but I wasn’t yet what they perceived as a mother."

When asked where she felt she fit in at the time, Moore added: "Yeah, where do I fit in? It was a time that felt, not dead, but flat."

Well, while Moore may not have known where she fit into Hollywood over two decades ago, with The Substance, in which she stars alongside Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid, she seems primed for the next stage in her career.
