Dennis Quaid Echoes Another Problem in His Marriage to Ex-wife Meg Ryan in Super-Rare Interview
Despite being such an It-couple, Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid were only together for around a decade. Years later, though, many people think about their romance; and how it ended. Once again, Quaid made a rare comment about their failed marriage and how he basically couldn’t handle his wife being more famous and being the Queen of romcoms.
In a recent episode of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? on Max, Quaid talked about the strain fame put on their marriage.

“How about that? When I met Meg I was here as far as career thing and she was here and then it just went like that,” he said, indicating it with his hands. “I tried to be a big person and tell myself that didn’t bother me, but people are human. She was ascending as I went into rehab and Meg is really such a great, sweet person and really talented and deserved all her success.”
He’s said this quite a few times in the past. Once in 2018, the At Any Price actor said on Megyn Kelly Today via People: “When we met I was the big deal. We’d go out on the streets of New York and it would be like, ‘Meg! Meg!’ And I have to admit it, I actually did feel like I disappeared. I didn’t think I was that small, but I was. It was a growth opportunity — I learned from that.”
However, unlike times prior, he did say something quite sweet about their marriage, adding in the recent interview, “But I don’t regret anything about my marriage to Meg, and we got Jack Quaid out of it who is really going on to maybe eclipse both of us,” he added.
For those who don’t know, Quaid and Ryan first fell in love while filming their 1987 movie Innerspace. They married in 1991, and within a year, they welcomed a son named Jack Quaid.
However, after nearly a decade of marriage, their relationship came to an end in 2000 amid allegations of infidelity on both sides (which both of them denied, but later alluded to).
