Lindsay Lohan celebrated her on-screen dad Dennis Quaid on his birthday!

In an interview with E! News, the Parent Trap star revealed that Lohan, 37, who played his twin daughters Hallie Parker and Annie James in the 1998 remake of the classic family comedy, was one of many loved ones who sent him a message for his 70th birthday on April 9.

"She sent a video wishing me a happy birthday yesterday," he told the site on April 10, also reminiscing on what he thinks his Parent Trap character would be up to today.

"I guess he'd be sipping some of the wine out of his vineyard," he said, adding that in an ideal world, Nick Parker would still be with Hallie and Annie's mom, wedding dress designer Elizabeth James (played by late actress Natasha Richardson).

"Natasha, God bless her. She passed from us about 10 years ago and she's so sorely missed. What a beautiful, beautiful woman, great person," Quaid told E! News.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at CinemaCon 2024 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Thursday, April 11, the actor explained how the video messages from loved ones came about.

"I thought it was going to be working,” the Strays star said. "And so I wanted to be kind of low-key."

He continued: "[My wife, Laura Savoie] got a whole bunch of my friends to do videos of, you know, talking about me. And it was really wonderful. You know that scene in Huckleberry Finn, where they go back and they're at their own funeral?”

“That's what it was like, and it was really kind of nice and sweet,” Quaid continued. “You really get to feel my life and my friends. And that's really how rich, I mean, you feel really rich with, it's about the relationships and the memories you have in your life.”

In his interview with E! News, Quaid shared a memory of working with the Mean Girls star as a child.

"She came to screen test and I think she was 11 and—wow—I couldn't believe it. She just had such control over her talent and what she was doing and during the shooting," he said of Lohan.
