Dennis Quaid says he wants son Jack to 'reverse nepo' baby him: 'I'll take it!'

The son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan has acknowledged that he's "immensely privileged."

Dennis Quaid, father ofThe Boys star Jack Quaid, has a request for his son.

"How bout a little help over here?" he told ET Tuesday at the Hollywood premiere of his movie Reagan. "I don’t mind the nepo thing myself, okay? Reverse nepo, I'll take it!"

The elder Quaid was, of course, referring to the term nepo baby, which is given to the offspring of people working in an industry where their parents are already successful. The son of Dennis and ex-wife Meg Ryan, herself an immensely accomplished actor best known for her work in romantic comedies, has acknowledged being part of that class.

"I'm inclined to agree," with the label, the younger Quaid told the Daily Beast in July. "I am an immensely privileged person, was able to get representation pretty early on, and that's more than half the battle. I knew the door was open for me in a lot of ways that it's just not for a lot of actors. And I've just tried to work as hard as I possibly can to prove that I deserve to walk through that door. So if that's in the rom-com space, it's got to be different enough, and I need to work my a-- off."

Dennis Quaid said his son, now 32, refused his direct assistance.

"He's done it his way and his own way," he told ET of Jack. "I offered to help get him an agent at first and he said 'No dad, I'm doing it on my own.' And then he got all these jobs from all these directors."

That's when Dennis, whose latest film has him portraying the country's 40th president, wanted to call in his own favor.

Though Jack is best known for his role as Hughie Campbell on Prime Video's The Boys, the colorful action comedy series about vigilantes going after corrupt superheroes, his credits also include The Hunger Games, Logan Lucky, and 2022's Scream.
