Dennis Schr?der Labels Kevin Durant “Weak” For Viral Olympics Post

Dennis Schr?der called out Kevin Durant for his “weak” antics after winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

German player and NBA star Schr?der spoke about the difference between European and American basketball culture on Saturday (Aug. 10). He asserted that international ball is predicated on “no entertainment, it’s straight IQ basketball” and “guys who know how to play the game.” Schr?der and Germany would be eliminated from the Olympic competition after losing to France and finishing in fourth place.

Sunday (Aug. 11) arrived and featured Kevin Durant and Team USA facing off against France in the gold medal game. After securing a 67-66 win over the hosting country, Durant took to social media with a picture of his squad. He referenced Schr?der’s comments as he captioned the now iconic picture, typing, “Entertainment & IQ.” Schr?der caught wind of the picture on Monday (Aug. 19) and sent some shots at the 4-time gold medal champion on a Twitch livestream calling him “weak.”

“And then, they won, and Kevin Durant tweets ‘high IQ and entertainment.’ For me, that’s just being weak,” Schr?der opined. “You have to say something to a person like me, who not even meant it to be negative. It’s just what I see from both sides.”

“So, I didn’t appreciate it. I don’t care, but at the end of the day, that tweet or whatever he posted was because of me, and for me it was never no negative stuff. I respect all those guys, all GOATs, but to say that tells me how weak he is as a person. It is what it is, not everybody is strong, not everybody is in a good place,” he concluded.

KD has yet to respond back to Schr?der’s most recent comments and has been unusually quiet on social media after being crowned a world champion, word to Noah Lyles. But the Slim Reaper may have something saved for him in the tuck when the Phoneix Suns face off against the Brooklyn Nets in November.
